Lie to Me (POEM)
Lie to me and tell me that I’m special;
I’ll believe that you are.
Lie to me and tell me that I’m all you ever think about;
I’ll obsess over you every minute anyway.
Lie to me and tell me that I’m beautiful;
I’ll never stop seeing the beauty in you.
Lie to me and tell me that I’m good enough;
I’ll always think that you’re better than me.
Lie to me and tell me that you’ll take care of me;
I’ll do anything for you.
Lie to me and tell me that you’d be lost without me;
I’ll never be able to find myself without you.
Lie to me and tell me that you don’t want it to end;
I’ll never stop replaying it in my head.
Lie to me and tell me that it’s all going to be alright;
I’ll fall apart alone.
Lie to me and tell me that you’d hold me if you could;
I’ll pretend that I’m in your arms, when I’m empty.
Lie to me and tell me that it’ll be like you never existed;
I’ll lie to you and agree.
